Grace Start-Right Frame

The Start-Right Frame is made of steel which gives it a more stable feel than the aluminum frames like the Pinnacle or Mini Pinni. The steel frame gives the frame a more heavy duty feel that you only get from frames that come with expensive longarm machines. The Start-Right Frame also uses a new tracking system that is superior to the traditional system where the upper and lower machine carriage assemblies each have four wheels. The Grace Company seems to be migrating toward having more wheels on the carriage to give you better control over your quilting. You don't get a machine frame just to have something to take up more room in your house, you get it because you want to finish your quilts following the least path of resistance. Quilting should be fun. When you have a frame that makes it easier, you can finish it faster because it is more enjoyable. You shouldn't have to fight with your frame to finish a quilt.

Frame Quilt Capacity - Quilts 88 - 90 inches wide or smaller (does all sizes up to queen) This depends upon the sewing machine you use as well. Machines with a wider base will take up more space on the end of the frame not letting you quilt all the way out to the end of the frame rail. If you need to quilt 92 inch or wider quilts you really need to look at one of the King size frames or the Gracie Queen because there is an optional King Extension.

Sewing Machine Required - Machine has to be Compatible with Grace Speed Control or SureStitch stitch length regulator. The Juki TL-2000Qi or Juki TL-2010Q are great machines to use with your Start-Right Frame. Save an extra $100 when you purchase your Juki with your Start-Right Frame.

Frame Dimensions - Sets up Queen size only.  Since this frame is made of steel the size you buy is what you get.  You can't buy an extension or change the size of the frame.  There is a crib version of this frame but I wouldn't recommend it. Plan on the Queen length Start Right Frame taking up about 102 by 30 inches.

Carriage Type - Steel - Has foam grips on front handles only but you can still quilt from the front or back of your frame.

Frame Rails - Steel - 1 1/4 inch diameter rails that are 98 inch long frame rail. Very strong and resistant to bowing. Includes Fabri-Fast cloth leader attaching system.

Frame Track - Plastic - Duel wheel track. Superior design than the other Grace Frames. Very durable and long lasting.

Frame is made of - White Powder coated steel.This finish is very durable and is very easy to dust and keep clean.  Wipe with a dust cloth to clean.

Upgrade options - Able to handle up to an 15 inch machine head. Works with the Plastic Pattern Perfect template guide system., Grace Gooseneck Lamp & Bulb, Gracie Laser, QuiltMotion - Computer assisted quilting system. Works with KathyQuilts.com custom made cloth leaders.

Frame Features: This steel frame is awesome! It feels and handles like frames that cost thousands more. You get the Start-Right Frame, bungee clamps, table inserts, foot levelers, and speed control. It is really important that we know which sewing machine you have before you order so we can get you the correct speed control. This frame is mostly assembled at the factory so it makes setting it up very easy. Set up time is shorter for the Start-Right Frame than any of the other Grace Frames.

Who we recommend this frame for: If you don't plan on quilting quilts larger than queen, and you are either purchasing a sewing machine or have a sewing machine that is compatible with the Grace Speed Control or SureStitch - stitch length regulator, then the Start-Right is the frame that will work the best for you. Because the Grace Company is over stocked on these awesome frames you can spend about what you would spend for a Gracie Queen which is also a great frame that is made from wood instead of steel. The Start-Right Frame is a great frame if you are staying in a trailer or if you are a snowbird and travel to warmer climates in the Winter. What can I say? The Start-Right is a wonderful frame at a great price.

It is cheaper to purchase them with your frame than to wait and get them later. Click on the options to see what is available and what the extra cost is. Hi,

Kathy and I are really excited to let you know about some news we just found out. The Grace Pinnacle machine frame has come to the end of its lifecycle. It has been a wonderful frame but with the newly reduced price of the Majestic will fill the void. The Majestic is the top of the line machine frame from the Grace Company.
