Synopsis:

How does the Block Rockit compare to other similar quilting machines on the market today?

We did some website research and this is what we came up with:

It has many, if not more, of the same features at a fraction of the cost.

The Block Rockit Compared to Other Quilting Machines on the Market

The main goal in producing the Block Rockit, a high-quality mid/long arm-quilting machine, is that it would be affordable for all customers. We are very pleased with the results, as the Block RockiT has exceeded our initial expectations in price, functions, and overall quality. However, because the Block Rockit is less expensive than virtually all other comparable machines on the market, people sometimes assume that it cannot perform all of the same functions as other machines. We are often asked, “beside the price, how is your machine different than others?” or “what can other machines do that yours cannot?”

To better understand and answer these questions, we have researched and compiled information on eight other mid/long-arm machines comparable to the Block RockiT in size. While there are many different machine capabilities and features we could have researched, we focused on the ones that people most often ask us about:

  • Throat Size
  • Bobbin Size
  • Digital Display
  • Sit Down or Stand Up
  • Stitch Regulator
  • Rear Handles
  • Compatible with Computerized Quilting
  • Price

The following tables contain a summary of the results of machines we could find that are most similar in size to the Block Rockit. Note that we listed only the information we could find online. Some information, such as the price, could change from one vendor to another. In other words, do not consider this the official specification sheet for each machine (as specs can change), and we encourage you to contact other manufacturers with questions about their machines. Also, our research says nothing as to the quality of each machine; it is simply to compare the features and costs of each.

The results of this comparison led us to find that the Block Rockit does have many, if not all of the same options of a traditional long arm quilting machine. We took the features of LED lighting and bobbin size off the table, as all the machines we looked at had the same things: the LED lights, and M size bobbin. Many of the machines also had the bobbin winder as part of the machine. Some of the sit down machines, you had to purchase a separate winder for the bobbin.

At Kathy Quilts we love machine quilting and we want to share that with everyone.  We are beyond happy with having the privilege of selling a quality and affordable machine that includes the same features as a more expensive long arm.

*Once again, please note, this is information that we found via the websites of the manufactures of these machines. It is the most accurate information we could find as of August 2015. If there are errors due to price changes/features, we apologize. We are not trying to be misleading in any way.
